Notes regarding privacy and consent to the processing of personal data
The use of https://lms.languages-in-media.eu and its services is voluntary.
The information collected during the registration as a user or during usage will be processed. Provided that the information is not about a fictitious identity the data pertains to personal information. Therefore, the data protection law also applies to https://lms.languages-in-media.eu.
Thus it is required by us that you are informed about the nature and extent of the collection of personal data and any future use.
When registering on the website please enter your name, email address, city and country. This data will then be stored in a database. You can view this data any time after the Login when you click on your name (upper right hand-side of the monitor or at the bottom of the page). In the personal area, you may revise the data which you have provided. The data is visible for other participants in the courses, as well as for trainers and administrators.
After the registration process you will receive an email in order to make sure that no one else is using your email address. You will first be registered as user of https://lms.languages-in-media.eu after you approve the confirmation email. If you fail to approve the email, your data will automatically be deleted after 7 days.
If you register as a user of a course, you will also receive emails from the course area. You can unsubscribe from the course area at any time. In order to do this, go to the course area and on that page click the block which says you would like to leave this area.
In the personal area you may choose how you would like to receive emails from https://lms.languages-in-media.eu (For example, individual emails or daily summaries). You are able to change your settings at any time.
From the information, some voluntary and some mandatory, collected during the registration by the software Moodle, at https://lms.languages-in-media.eu, a record will be kept as to what time the user used which page and also which profiles from other users may have been visited. Additionally, it will be recorded, depending on the individual offerings, if you have completed exercises, if and which contributions you made in the different forums, if and how you took part in workshops and tests.
When using the “Messenger” (private messages) function, the texts which you write to others will be viewable by the trainers and administrators. If you do not want this, then please use your email to contact other users. The usage data will remain on https://lms.languages-in-media.eu. The data is accessible by both the administration of https://lms.languages-in-media.eu and the manager of each of the course areas, not by individual users (except data contributed in forums). Contributions, for example within a forum, are still accessible even after you are no longer an active user. After publishing a contribution, the information may be read and viewed years later. The course areas on https://lms.languages-in-media.eu are public. Therefore, search engines, like Google, may include course area information.
Please note: When a course is not made public in a Moodle-System, then the course contents and contributions made by users are naturally not found in a search engine. https://lms.languages-in-media.eu is a public page for information and presentation and is therefore designed differently.
When you are no longer registered in a course area, then your contact information is no longer available to other users. You may adjust your settings in your personal area so that, for example, other users may not see your email address. These settings do not apply for trainers and administrators.
Statistical analyses about usage will automatically be deleted after 30 days.

Die Nutzung von https://lms.languages-in-media.eu und seiner Angebote ist freiwillig.
Mit Beginn der Registrierung als Nutzer/in werden die von Ihnen eingegebenen oder mit Ihrer Nutzung automatisch anfallenden Daten verarbeitet. Soweit diese auf Ihre Person und nicht nur auf eine fingierte Identität verweisen, handelt es sich um personenbezogene Daten. Darum gelten auch für https://lms.languages-in-media.eu die einschlägigen Datenschutzgesetze.
Diese verlangen vor allem, dass Sie von uns über Art und Umfang der Erhebung von personenbezogenen Daten und ihrer weiteren Verwendung eingehend informiert werden.

Nach der Registrierung erhalten Sie eine E-Mail, um sicher zu gehen, ob nicht jemand anderes Ihre E-Mailadresse benutzt. Erst nach der Bestätigung dieser E-Mail werden Sie tatsächlich unter https://lms.languages-in-media.eu als Nutzer/in registriert. Andernfalls werden Ihre Daten nach 7 Tagen automatisch wieder gelöscht.
Wenn Sie sich als Nutzer/in in Kursen eintragen, erhalten Sie auch aus diesen Kursräumen per E-Mail Nachrichten. Sie können sich jederzeit aus einem Kursraum als Nutzer/in wieder austragen. Gehen Sie dazu in den Kursraum und wählen Sie im Block an der Seite, dass Sie sich austragen wollen.
In Ihrem persönlichen Profil können Sie wählen, wie Sie E-Mails aus https://lms.languages-in-media.eu erhalten. (Z.B. Einzel-E-Mails oder tägliche Zusammenfassungen.) Diese Einstellung können Sie jederzeit anpassen.
Über die in der Anmeldung selbst angeforderten, teils zwingenden, teils freiwilligen Informationen hinaus, protokolliert die bei https://lms.languages-in-media.eu zugrunde liegende Software Moodle, zu welcher Zeit welche Nutzer/innen auf welche Bestandteile der Seite und auf welche Profile anderer Nutzer/innen sie zugreifen. Protokolliert wird ferner je nach Ausgestaltung des einzelnen Angebots, ob Sie gestellte Aufgaben erledigt, ob und welche Beiträge Sie in den eventuell angebotenen Foren geleistet, ob und wie sie in Workshops oder Tests mitgewirkt haben.
Bei der Nutzung des Messengers (Mitteilungen) sind die Texte, die Sie an andere Nutzer/innen verfassen für Trainer/innen und Administrator/innen einsehbar. Wenn Sie dies nicht wollen, nutzen Sie bitte Ihr E-Mail-System und verfassen Sie E-Mails, um Nachrichten an andere Nutzer/innen zu verfassen.
Diese Nutzungsdaten bleiben auf https://lms.languages-in-media.eu gespeichert. Sie sind der Administration von https://lms.languages-in-media.eu und der Leitung des jeweiligen Kursraums zugänglich, nicht jedoch (von Daten im Zusammenhang mit Foren abgesehen) anderen Nutzer/innen. Beiträge, die Sie z.B. innerhalb von Foren verfassen, sind auch zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt, wenn Sie nicht mehr als Nutzer/in aktiv sind, verfügbar. Hinweis: Wenn nicht öffentlich zugängliche Kurse in einem Moodle-System angelegt werden, sind die Kursinhalte und Beiträge der Nutzer/innen selbstverständlich nicht für Suchmaschinen auffindbar. https://lms.languages-in-media.eu ist jedoch eine öffentliche Seite zur Information und Präsentation und daher etwas anders konfiguriert.
Ihre Kontaktdaten sind, wenn Sie nicht mehr im Kursraum registriert sind, für andere Nutzer/innen nicht mehr sichtbar. Durch die Einstellung im persönlichen Profil können Sie z.B. Ihre E-Mail-Adresse für andere Nutzer/innen grundsätzlich unsichtbar machen. Diese Einstellung gilt nicht für die Trainer/innen eines Kurses oder Administrator/innen.
Statistische Auswertungen der Nutzung werden automatisch nach 30 Tagen gelöscht.
Die gespeicherten Daten werden an keine anderen Personen oder Stellen weitergegeben, auch nicht in anonymisierter Form.
